Crenelation Definition
Crenelation in architecture means a construction of battlements. It is a kind of fortification built around the top of a castle with notch or spaces in between. These walls are strong enough to prevent any kind of attack and also tall enough to keep away intruders. It is mainly constructed atop a castle to prevent alien attack during battles. The small regular gaps in between was used for keeping guns or arrows for ease of firing during battles.
