Crepidoma is a classic Greek architecture. It is a platform on which a Greek temple stood. Such platforms are usually stepped. Normally these steps were tall and three in number. These three steps were considered as three levels upon which the building is erected and the topmost level was termed as stylobate. This was classical Greek's foundation of a building.
