The production of the glass began from around 1908.The main attraction of this decorative glass is its shiny look that is given to it by applying metallic salts during the glass making. These glasses are available in different shapes, patterns, and colors, These glasses produced after 1960 are comparatively cheaper. Carnival glass is is known by many other names such as, aurora glass, dope glass, rainbow glass, taffeta glass, etc. These glasses are used for both functional and ornamental or decorative purposes.
