Pagoda Definition

Pagoda is a sacred building or a temple in the form of a multi storied tower. Each tier has its own roof that is curved upwards. Pagodas were commonly seen in India and East Asia. Buddhist towers are examples of pagodas. Ancient pagodas were constructed using wood. We can see pagodas built following different architectural styles, for example, the Chinese, Japanese, Burmese, Thai etc.
